Acoustic foam and panels are typically classified under HS heading 3921 or 3824, carrying UK Global Tariff duty of around 6.5% — but the exact subheading depends on material composition, and getting it wrong either overpays duty or risks a customs query. What we need to quote acoustic panels
Send wall and ceiling areas, panel dimensions, the substrate you're fixing to, finish and edge details, the fixing method, and the acoustic and fire performance your project requires. A panel's appearance alone doesn't tell you how well it absorbs sound or how it behaves in a fire, so we start from the performance target.
Getting the specification right
Samples let you check colour, veneer and surface quality before bulk production. Performance evidence needs to match the complete build-up as installed — backing, air gap and fixings — not just the panel face, so we check test data against the way the panels will actually go on your walls.
What's priced separately
Installation, battens or backing, adhesives, wastage allowance and substrate preparation are shown as separate lines on your quotation, so you can compare our price with a UK supplier like for like. Every acoustic order is quoted from your own project specification.
Our customer sourcing fee is 5%. Your written proposal confirms the calculation basis and services included. Inspection, samples, specialist services and delivery are identified separately where applicable.
Your programme depends on specification and drawing approvals, samples where required, supplier availability, inspection, transport and final delivery. We confirm feasibility and the proposed milestones for your order before commitment.
