How China Sourcing with IK ENG Works — Process, Fees and Timing
Everything you need to know before sending a brief: the steps, what we charge, how long it takes, what your quotation shows, and rough budgets per room.
The process, step by step
- Send your brief. Floor plans, a room list, inspiration images, delivery postcode, approximate budget and required arrival date. A mood board or photo is enough to start.
- Scope and supplier comparison. We clarify the brief, identify suitable suppliers and confirm the comparison work and response programme.
- Itemised quotation. Products, finishes, drawings, costs and exclusions are set out for your approval before anything is ordered.
- Samples and approval. Where needed, samples or drawings are approved before bulk production starts.
- Production and inspection. Goods are inspected before shipment against the approved specification, with a photo report.
- Shipping, customs and delivery. Freight, UK customs clearance, duty and final delivery to your site are coordinated for you.
Our fee
Our customer sourcing fee is 5%. Your written proposal confirms the calculation basis and services included. Inspection, samples, specialist services and delivery are identified separately where applicable.
What your quotation shows
- An itemised product schedule with dimensions, quantities, materials, finishes and hardware
- Supplier lead times and packing
- Transport, customs clearance and import duty
- Samples, design work, inspection, installation and specialist delivery as separate lines where they apply
Final prices depend on the approved specification and delivery arrangements.
Payment terms
Customer deposit is normally 50%. The written quotation and order confirmation set out the deposit trigger, balance milestones, approvals and supplier arrangements. Payment does not substitute for final specification approval.
Minimum orders
Single-home and smaller enquiries are welcome, and there's no container minimum to make an enquiry. Factory minimum quantities and the practical cost of shipping are checked for each product — a single item can be less economical than a consolidated room or house order, and we'll tell you if UK stock would suit you better.
How long it takes
Your programme depends on specification and drawing approvals, samples where required, supplier availability, inspection, transport and final delivery. We confirm feasibility and the proposed milestones for your order before commitment.
Quality and compliance
We request and review the evidence relevant to the exact product and intended use. Inspection scope and outstanding checks are agreed in writing. A supplier catalogue certificate or inspection report does not establish blanket product or project approval.
Budget planning guide
Send your room schedule, dimensions, finish references, quantities and approximate delivered budget. We prepare itemised costs for the agreed scope rather than promising a standard finished-room price.
